Tapas, Paella & Wines Workshop
Food Room is a Cooking and Tasting School located in the heart of Costa del Sol, so one of our main goals since we opened our doors in 2017, is to provide interesting cooking experiences to all those visitors that come to Marbella, and are willing to learn more about our culture and our gastronomy.
We have a special culinary experience for private groups called: Tapas, Paella & Wines, and I would like to talk to you about it!
This Cooking Course last 3 hours approximately and the best part is that this experience ends with our guests eating everything that has been cooked. It can be done by couples, small or large groups. The price varies but the objective remains the same: learn how to cook traditional Spanish dishes and have lots of fun in the process.
This group of ladies booked a Tapas, Paella & Wines workshop last summer as part of their Spain Retreat. They all belong to LWE, a networking organization based in the USA, that recognizes outstanding women in business and strives for their overall advancement.
As you can see, our cooking classes are always hands on so our guests learn by doing, which is definitely the best way to do it. So everyone participates and helps the chef with all the cooking duties.
At our cooking class, we will first prepare 3 types of traditional tapas. You can choose between Salmorejo o Ajoblanco, do you know what they are? They are both cold soups and you can eat them in Spain, specially during the warm season. In Marbella, that would be from February till November ;)
Then you can choose between Tortilla de Patatas or Pisto Manchego. The first one is Spanish Omelette and is made with eggs, potatoes and onions, just delicious!!!.
Pisto Manchego is made with vegetables: pepper, onions, zucchini, aubergines and tomato, and at Food Room we serve it on top of a bread piece with a fried quail egg!!!
Finally you can choose between Empanada Gallega o Salpicón de Mariscos. The first one is a traditional dish from the north of Spain and it is kind of a pie filled with tuna and vegetables, just yummy!!!
The Salpicón de Mariscos is made with seafood and since we live next to the Mediterranean Sea, this would be also a good option!
After all of this is done, we start preparing the Paella, that could be done with Chicken and Vegetables or with Seafood, also called, "Arroz del señorito".
As you can see, there is enough food and fun in this Cooking Experience. And don't worry, dessert is also provided at our dining room after you have enjoyed your own culinary masterpieces ;)
Also, wine is very important in this Cooking Workshop so we serve you our House Wine, called Coto de Hayas, DO Campo de Borja, white, red or both, from the moment you arrive to our facilities located in Guadalmina Alta, next to San Pedro Alcántara, Marbella.
So, are you in the mood for some delicious cooking??? Call us anytime to book your private cooking class at Food Room Marbella!!!
If you prefer, you can also join us at our open Tapas, Paella & Wines workshops we will be organizing the first Sunday of each month starting February 3rd!
So, see you soon at Food Room!!!
